Music score by Hans Erdmann. / Premiered 3 March 1922 at Primus-Palast, in Berlin, Germany. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / The second film adaptation of the Stoker novel; the novel was previously filmed as Drakula halála (1921). The production was shot from August through October 1921. The film was banned by the British Board of Film Censors in 1922. The film was released in the USA as Nosferatu, the Vampire by Film Arts Guild in early June 1929. The film was rereleased in 1930 in German sound version, with synchronized music and sound effects as Die zwoelfte Stunde: Eine Nacht des Grauens.

Drama: Horror.

Survival status: Prints exist [35mm positive]; and in private film collection [16mm reduction positives (Blackhawk Films version)].
