Born 18 July 1897 in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, as Mario Bianchi.
Died 7 January 1950 in Arona, Piedmont, Italy, of heart failure.

Married actress Gladys Frazin, 20 September 1929; divorced, 17 April 1932.
Married actress Grace Stansfield (screen name Gracie Fields), 18 March 1940; until Monty’s death, 7 January 1950.

Monty Banks worked as an actor for Triangle Film Corporation (1917), and for Comique Film Corporation as a writer and actor (1918-1919).
